DOC's Overarching Principles:

• Science first. When we argue or debate, we do it on the merits, the data, and the scientific method.
• It’s OK to be wrong. The goal is not to be right, but to get it right.
• No dogma, politics or religion. While many of the topics we’ll be covering inform and drive our politics, DOC is not a place for political grandstanding or religious debate. We stick to the science.
• Everyone’s a Conversant. Anyone in the room can speak.
• Concision; no monologues. No one dominates the conversation. When you speak, keep it to under a minute, and make your point or ask your question. No lengthy statements preceding your question.
• No selling. Cardinal sin.
• Keep to time. We have a packed program, so we will be stopping each session when it’s slated to end.
