Dr. Williams is the Vincent V.C. Woo Professor of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at Stanford and Director of Stanford’s Center for Precision Mental Health and Wellness. Using neuroimaging and clinical measures, she has identified biotypes of depression and anxiety. She has developed a novel imaging technology platform to measure these biotypes to help personalize treatment selection, among medications, behavioral interventions, neuromodulation, novel and exploratory therapeutics. She wrote the first book on Precision Psychiatry, published by APA, and contributed over 380 scientific papers to the field.
