Vinod Khosla is an entrepreneur, investor, and relentless techno-optimist. He is the founder of Khosla Ventures, focused on impactful technology investments in AI, climate tech, software, robotics, fintech, consumer applications, biotech, healthcare and more. Vinod was a co-founder of Daisy systems and founding CEO of Sun Microsystems where he pioneered open systems and commercial RISC processors. One of Vinod’s greatest passions is pursuing his ambition of reinventing societal infrastructure such that all ~8 billion individuals on the planet can live the resource-rich lifestyle currently enjoyed by the top 10%. The capabilities unveiled in the past couple years by AI are making this a reality. Nearly a decade ago, Vinod wrote the future of what could be possible in healthcare upon implementing SOTA AI, in a landmark piece called “20% Doctor.” (He made similar predictions about the reinvention of everything from education, to
music). He recently codified these predictions in his TED talk, and has since been on the cover of Forbes and TIME for his work pioneering AI in nearly all verticals. Vinod holds a Bachelor of Technology in Electrical Engineering from IIT, New Delhi, a Master's in Biomedical Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University and an MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business.
