Lynn Hanessian is the Chief Strategist, Health, for Edelman, overseeing health and science communications. She brings together industry, content, and media expertise to craft multi-stakeholder campaigns integrating marketing, communications and policy priorities. Lynn has a deep background in health, medical and science strategic positioning, working across the healthcare ecosystem with hospitals and health systems; payers; biopharmaceutical and health tech companies; innovation centers; medical societies; and patient advocacy groups. Lynn is a C-suite counselor on executive positioning and visibility efforts. Thought leader engagement and patient advocacy collaboration are also among her areas of focus.
Lynn has a long history of volunteer leadership involvement with the patient advocacy community, serving today as a board member for the Center for Healthcare Innovation and the Asthma and Allergy Foundation of America. Lynn’s background includes expertise in corporate and foundation relations as well as corporate sponsorships, having held positions at the American Academy of Pediatrics, The Ounce of Prevention Fund and the University of Chicago. She earned degree in economics from the University of Chicago.
