DOC 2024 Community Partner

Eat Real fosters a food culture that prioritizes health, sustainability, and community through advocacy, education, and initiatives.

About

Eat Real's mission focuses on providing healthier, less processed food options to improve children's health and support environmental sustainability. The core of Eat Real's work is their K-12 certification program, which helps schools transition their cafeteria menus to healthier, climate-conscious options using evidence-based standards and offering ongoing support and resources to school districts at no cost.

Additionally, Eat Real engages in advocacy to influence food policies at the national level and raises awareness about the importance of real food for children's health and the environment. All in all, their efforts have had a significant impact, with their program reaching over 600 schools and improving the quality of up to 129 million meals annually.

As strong advocates of childrens' health and nutrition, EatReal's promotion of access and availability closely aligns with DOC's mission to make quality healthcare strategies, products, and services more known and widely available.
