Dr. Meagan Wasfy is a sports cardiologist at the Massachusetts General Hospital. Her undergraduate degree is from Harvard College, her medical degree from Harvard Medical School, and her masters in public health from the Harvard School of Public Health. She is the cardiologist for Harvard Athletics and US Rowing and co-medical director for the Boston Athletic Association. Dr. Wasfy is chair of the American College of Cardiology (ACC) Care of Athletic Heart Conference and a member of the ACC Sports and Exercise Cardiology Leadership Council. Dr. Wasfy’s research focus is on optimizing the clinical utilization of cardiac imaging and exercise testing in the care of athlete patients. Past and current funding sources include the National Institutes of Health/National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute, the ACC, and the National Football League Players Association.
